A Lost Shadow( firework)

The mare stood in the shadow, shaking her head lightly to herself. She was looking around with her pale blue eyes, still not sure about what all was going on. Taking a long and deep breath, she closed her eyes for just a second. Shaking her head for a moment, she pawed at the earth. The Bay mare wasn't sure about what she wanted to do really. She was scared out of her mind and wasn't sure about what she wanted to do. Smirking for just a second to herself, she nuzzled her leg because it itched. A tail flicked upon her rump as she stood there, looking around trying to find something.

A darker, thick black tail hit her rump with a loud swish. You wouldn't think twice about getting hit with that tail, it would slash you open if she did it hard enough. Her mane was just as thick and fell down past her shoulders, but it was clean kept. A deep breath came from her muzzle for a moment, she lowered her head towards the ground. She was scared to move any farther, after all she had just lost everything that she ever knew. Her whole body was frozen for now as she looked and listened for something, anything to come near her.

The silhouette of a painted stallion could be seen coming across the horizon. Though there was something unusual about his walk. He ha a bit of a limp thanks to an earthquake that had shook the ground of these lands and he was already cursing mother nature for the injury. While it wasn't anything serious, it did make running a painful chore an usually kept him at a slower pace. Continuing on, the stallion had been searching for some company. But all he had found was grass and trees.

Just as he was about to turn around and head back the way he had come, his nostrils picked up the scent of another horse not too far off. Following the scent he eventually caught sight of the mare with his light blue eyes. Just looking at her he could tell that she was scared and unsure. Putting on a soft smile, he came towards her a bit more before stopping a few feet away, giving her some space.

"Hello there m'lady, I'm Tux. What might your name be?" he asked her softly and kindly, being a gentleman as he introduces himself first and then asked for her name as well.

She lifted her amazing eyes to the stud and shifted as if to bolt but then she relaxed.She looked deep into his eyes and then over his frame and then a smile came to her lips."My name is Melody its very nice to meet you ummmm are you ok".She walks a little close trying not to seem like a very mean mare,She shifted her head and reached out her muzzle to sniff his shoulder softly.Her eyes burned into him and her coat shined an amazing bay color as the sun caught it.

She looked back over to him,"So what brings you all the way out here".Her long amazing bangs fell into her eyes as they took on a soft glow and her body became seductive as she was in heat.She swished her tail and began to walk around him and ending right in front again."I have been wanting to join a herd for a long time in the hopes to have a foal"

She smiled as her audits flicked back and forth and she looked to see what he would do. Her body and eyes were working together to pull in the amazing stallion.

A smile lot the stallion's face as well as she smiled back and came forward before introducing herself. When she asked if he was alright he nodded, looking down at his foreleg that had been slightly injured during the earthquake.

"Its a pleasure to meet you, and yeah I'll be fine." he replied, letting his light blue gaze come up to look at her once more. She was a very beautiful mare with a bay coat, just like his. As she came towards him a bit more, her scent drifted into his nostrils and he had to admit, it was intoxicating. He felt himself take a step towards her as well, wanting to touch her. He held his ground however but her next statement made him want to move closer. A smile spread even wider across his face at her words of admitting she was looking for a herd and a stallion so she could have a foal.

"I have come here in search of a beautiful mare to join me in starting a herd. And a beautiful mare I have found. I would be more than happy to invite you to join me, my dear." he answered, dipping his head a bit in a small bow before raising his head once more to see what she would say to his invitation.

She let an amazing smile spread across her muzzle and she took a few more steps to the stud. Her body was just inches away from him as she touched him so softly it felt like and angel.

"I would really like to join nothing would make me happier then to spend time with a big strong stallion like you".

Her eyes grew to an amazing color as she looked back to him and nuzzling his shoulder.She swished her tail sending her sent everywhere.Her body was strong and glowing as she allowed her side to brush him softly and lowered her head to nuzzle his cheek.She was a strong but sweet mare respecting him but letting him know she was happy and willing to do anything for him.

"I'm sorry i just cant help myself" She backed away slowly as if it was hurting her to move from him.She sniffed some remembering her lost foal that her ex lead stud had killed because it was not his.She shifted and the smile returned as she though of another young one by her side.She looked at him the setting sun making her look like an angel.

Tux smiled happily when she said she would join him and he tossed his head a bit to show his pleasure. Snorting, his light blue gaze shifted back to her as she took a few steps closer to him, closing the space that was left in between them. He was a bit surprised at first by her closeness but as she began to nuzzle him softly and brush against his strong shoulder and side, he felt himself relax easily against her form.

Nuzzling her back, he enjoyed the soft touch she offered him, letting her delicious scent surround him. It was a bit odd how at ease he felt around her. Like they had known each other forever and that they were simply being reunited but he knew that couldn't be the case because he had never seen this beautiful mare before. When she suddenly pulled away, apologizing for her sudden closeness, he shook his head in reply before a bit of worry spread across his face as he saw a flash of sadness appear on her face for a brief moment.

"No need to apologize, it's quite alright. Is something troubling you?" he asked her, tilting his head a bit so he could get a better look at her with his light blue eyes. He hoped he hadn't said or done anything to upset her.

She shifted and looked down the seen of her foal being taken and beaten to death played in her mind and she gave him a small sad smile,She watched as the big black brute took the foal by the neck and tossed it so easy into the air and struck it over and over as she screamed for him to stop.The bark eyes were soon on her and she knew she could not help her foal now.As the screams from the dying foal rang out she could do nothing but run.

"I was a mother once but the stud i used to run with killed him when he was born because i was pregnant with him before he was my stallion".A sad tear fell down her face as she remembered the way the foal looked at her before he passed,the look of love was still there for even though he was so young she loved him with all her heart.She moved close to the stallion again and nuzzled him only wanting to be close to someone she liked and possibly loved even.

Tux instantly felt terrible for her because the loss of a foal was something he would never wish upon anyone. He hadn't had a foal of his own yet but he couldn't imagine how anyone would be able to take such a young and innocent life when they had done nothing wrong. He knew that if he had been that stallion, he would have loved and raised the foal as his own and not in a million years would he think of harming something so pure.

"I'm terribly sorry for your loss. I can't imagine anything more horrible. Hopefully the time you spend with me will prove to be much better than the time you spent with your previous stallion." he replied, nuzzling her to try and comfort her in any way he could. Pressing his side against hers, he nuzzled her cheek a bit before smiling softly at her, hoping he had been successful in making her feel a bit better.

She flinched at his touch at first but soon leaned into him and sighed when he nuzzled her cheek.The young filly look was back as his words sunk in and made her feel much better.She looked over to him and smiled her eyes glowing as the last of the sun went down.She reached her nose down to his and nuzzled him allowing her eyes to close.She shifted her hip into him and relaxed opening her eyes and looking at him like an angel.

"You are making it all better already" her voice had a certain sing song sound to it but also a kind of sexy feeling. She looked around, the night was hard for her and then she did what she only did for her colt. She looked up at the sky and started to sing.Her voice was amazing and beautiful but soft and easy to stop everything and listen.

She stopped and looked back down and over to him and smiled softly "That was my colts lullaby"
