Mottled skin twitched as the young mare sidled her way through the sparse growth. The too alive trees seemed far and few between as she weaved towards the source of light. Morning had just begun as Play crept through these new and unknown lands. They smelt like any other new place, so similar it made it almost smelt familiar. The ground below mottled by dead fallen leaves that marked the coming of a new season and if her senses hadn't betrayed her it was summer that she was about to walk into.
Mud splattered pillars reached forward confidently as if she had a purpose. Cracked and broken daggers dug deep into the soft terrain slitting through the dead and buried twigs. Her young still growing frame was dirt matted and already a new coat was shinning through, much to her dismay it was greater that last years. Unwillingly she sent out a broken and bored gaze in the hope of finding another to play with. It had been far to long since she had crossed paths with any living creature, ones worth acknowledging anyways.
Without so much as a flick of her tail or a cautious look the grey femme lowered herself to the ground. Long legs snapping up beneath her, trees inched on either size of her large frame and broken branches dug into her skin. Yet she continued to spread herself out as much as the small space allowed. It was clear as she closed her eyes and let her body melt into the stink and mud that self preservation wasn't a high priority.
Let them come and take her whilst she was down. The devil knew she was in need of some kind of excitement. Even after she had stopped trashing about the mare did not rise. Nor did she raise her gaze, preferring to let her eyelid close over, letting the mornings new light go to waste. It was a new day for Play, a new day in a new place. How exciting.

Today, the handsome bay tovero stallion found himself under the cover of trees. For awhile now, the stud had been entertaining himself by venturing across all kinds of lands and while he wouldn't admit it out loud, he was kind of hoping to find some mares and possibly some open land that he could claim for the herd he was wanting to make. When he had been younger, the only thing he wanted to do was go on adventures, meet mares and battle it out with all of his bachelor stallion buddies. But now that he was growing up, he was trying his best to push his wild side down and become a more mature and responsible adult. And while that wasn't always very much fun, he knew that what he really wanted was to have a herd to protect.
Making his way through the trees a bit more, his brown ears pricked forward on his head, searching the depths of the forest for any signs of danger. When there didn't seem to be any, the stallion continued on his way, the dead leaves rustling a bit under his hooves. Stepping over a log that was laying in his path, he was a bit surprised when his fore legs hit the softness of mud and his hooves sunk a bit. Remaining still, his light blue eyes suddenly noticed the form of a horse laying in the mud he was now standing in. Confusion clouded his eyes as he tilted his head a bit, wondering if the horse was injuried or simply enjoying the coolness of the mud since the day wasn't particularly cold.
"You alright?" he called to the horse who's eyes were closed as well. Maybe the horse was dead!? No, that couldn't be it because if the horse was dead then it would most likely smell but the only scents that wafted up into the stud's nostrils were the earthy smells of dead leaves, the forest and mud.

Even as she lay, and the cool earth seeped into her skin Play could feel the mornings sun growing stronger and the world getting hotter. It would soon be summer and she wondered what this one would bring with it. Her dark black eyes were hidden behind a veil of dirty thick tassels, she blinked twice in an attempt to remove the shield from her sight and instead gave up and closed her eyes instead. Behind her lids she let her mind wonder, her fantasies playing out in full force. Then suddenly as the wind seemed to pick up momentarily Play paused her thoughts as the scent of another was carried within the winds grasp.
Her eyes remained closed as she allowed herself to enjoy her bodies reaction to this unknown scent. Her muscles bunched and her pillars twitched on the floor ready to spring to action. Her blood pumped alive though her veins, fear and adrenaline mixed amongst each other till she couldn't tell either emotion apart. Her mind alone kept her amongst the tangled undergrowth, for her body was well ready to spring to action and fight for life. She waited, long past the wind had left carrying its tantalising smell with it. Waited till her hawks picked up the thumping of another, then she stopped listening and fell back into her own thoughts, enjoying her body trying to force her up of the ground once more. Enjoying the fact that she had utter control over her own body, for this last brief moment. Before she would willingly hand it over.
She could smell him again and it was excitement that now mixed in amongst the cocktail of adrenaline and fear. She needed this moment to remember what it was like to be owned by none. Then slowly her bodies natural defence mechanisms were in place and she no longer had control over herself. It was in that moment that she chose to open up her eyelids, her deep brown orbs flicked upwards at the brute with such a furious intensity you could mistake it for anger at first. Through her forelock from the ground she appraised him, he was built much like her mother she decided, he didn't have her same damn pathetic colour though and her damn had been much greater in height she decided, much greater that her own height even.
As she took the time to look him over she vaguely paid attention to his words. Appreciating his tone, after all this time it had been word play she had missed the most. She waited half expecting him to lower himself down maw pushed to her level to inspect perhaps, she inched towards him, wanting to feel her body react again, wanting him to force her body to react to his closeness. When neither her body nor the brute gave a reaction she rocked back, shifting her weigh to the side slightly so she could awkwardly stretch out two over long pillars. She stumbled up onto four incredibly long pillars, her slightly heavy frame balancing out her height rather nicely.
She shook violently once removing all the loose dirt from herself before choosing to break the silence. Now that she was standing she could see the height difference it wasn't too great and she seemed to trump him in build, something that she took some strange pleasure in. " Morning Sir" Her voice was soft but direct, it carried effortlessly around her in a husky feminine tone. Her pause was brief, just long enough to flick her black orbs over at him finding his own gaze as she spoke the word sir, as if drilling in the fact that already she thought him to be her superior. There would be no piss fight over who was who in the rank game here." Apologies if I have interrupted you or inconvenienced you in anyway." Her tone was genuine, however a shadow filtered across her features as she spoke, it held a combination of excitement and sarcasm, admiration and joy. How exciting this time and day may turn out to be.

When the equine that had been laying in the mud reacted to his words and opened her eyes, he couldn't really tell anything about her appearance thanks to the covering of mud and dirt decorating her coat. However, when she finally rocked backwards and came to stand up on all fours, he saw that she was a bit bigger than he was but not by much. After she shook the loose dirt from her coat, he was able to see the dapple grey color peeking through a bit. When she spoke, she was very formal and kind and submitted to him right away as if he were her reigning stallion. Nodding his head in greeting to her as well, he listened to her apologize for unconvincing him in any way.
"No need to apologize, I was merely worried about your safety, m'lady. My name is Tux by the way. And you are?" be replied with a smile but shook his head when he apologized. The mare was quite unique and he was curious to know more about her but didn't ask anymore questions just yet.
